ABOUT KIM
Kim was born and raised in San Diego, California and resides only an hour (without Southern California traffic) from where she was born. She was adopted when she was only a day old by a couple that had taken care of over 90 foster children and had adopted a son almost 14 years earlier. Kim describes her parents as generous and selfless as she was growing up. Her father attended SDSU and went on to graduate as a DC (Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine) in Los Angeles, CA. Her mother was a stay at home mom with gifts of love and kindness. She enrolled Kim in formal music at age 5 and gymnastics at age 7. This was just the start of her fitness life as she first became certified in 1989 by AFAA. Since then, she has acquired over 20 fitness certifications/specialty trainings.
She has worked for the last 6 years for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. In 2007 she took over as the Director of Continuing Education Providers. In previous years, Kim worked as a Group Fitness Director for various health clubs to include Crunch Fitness and Semperfit aboard Camp Pendleton Marine Corp base, where her husband is stationed. She continues to work in many other areas of fitness to include presenting for AFAA. She also loves creating and teaching her own continuing education courses and master classes at conventions and facilities that wish to have Kim as a guest presenter. One of her many passions is getting up in the morning, reading something positive and inspirational and then getting her 12 year old off to school before she leaves to teach her own classes to include Step and Cardio Dance.
